The massive emergence of mobile apps is going beyond our imagination. Thousands of applications for smartphones are on the make everyday – apps for kids, apps for the growing organization, apps for all types of industries, apps for music and so on.

The latest is one which enhances quality of life for autism due to wandering and safety issues.

GTX Corp. is a company specializing in enterprise two-way GPS real-time personal location services. It owns and operates LOCiMOBILE (News - Alert), which develops applications for smartphones and tablets, Code Amber News Service and Code Amber Alertag.

LOCiMOBILE has launched two new GPS and personal location-based Apps.

The new launch includes the GPS Shoe iPhone app, which can provide caregivers that monitor seniors afflicted with dementia and Alzheimer’s access to their whereabouts with the touch of a button. The app is part of an ongoing effort to enhance the user experience and empower caregivers to easily monitor their loved ones affected by Alzheimer’s, dementia and autism when wearing the GPS shoe.

The GPS Shoe iPhone (News - Alert) App is free and convenient, with no additional cost to customers who subscribe to a monthly monitoring plan for the Navistar Footwear System.

The app is available for all the family members and caregivers who help monitor and want to quickly locate where someone wearing the GPS shoes is and where they have been for the past several hours or days. The app can even let one know if the person wearing the GPS shoes is moving or standing still, offering security and peace of mind right from a smartphone.

The other app launched by the company is Track My Work Force, available on iPhones and iPads and coming soon to Android (News - Alert), designed for small business owners to monitor their work force. The app is currently being evaluated by several small- to medium-sizes companies both domestically and internationally.

In its soft launch phase, the app is priced for $9.99 and comes with a free monthly plan for the first 30 days.

Back in February 2012, GTX Corp. announced that its flagship product, multi-patent GPS Shoe will join pioneering inventions including antibiotics, the telephone, the internet, the steam engine and vaccinations, in an exhibition that focuses on the 100 most important inventions in the history of mankind.
